People are weary of buying misshapen produce and end up overpaying for groceries. So we wanted to show people that they can ultimately save money on groceries when they choose to purchase slightly misshapen ingredients at Misfits Market.

To show people that ugly produce beats ugly prices, we played with typography and warped the price of “normal-looking” produce you could buy at the grocery store and compared it to the discounted price of slightly misshapen produce you’d be able to get at Misfits Market.

Digital:

We also partnered with several popular influencers on Youtube and TikTok who make food on their platforms and wrote mock scripts they could read to show their audience how to make an incredible meal on a budget.

Experiential #1

We even went ahead and made the world’s ugliest cookbook to show people that you don’t have to pay for the perfect produce to make the perfect meal.

Experiential #2

We also partnered with Sweetgreen and created a limited time promotion where customers could get up to 40% off all meals made with Misfit Market’s produce.
